Cindy Nelson has lived in Marquette for many years, where she has practiced nursing since 1983. Prior to Women's Health Associates, which she joined in 1996, she spent 9 years as a nurse-practioner with the Marquette County Health Department. Her professional achievements include organizing and conducting community workshops in Family Planning and teenage pregnancy prevention. She has also worked actively with Voices for Youth, the U.P. Women's Coalition, and the Sexual Assault Advisory Board. Her achievements as a nurse-practitioner in our office also include Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening, STD Clinics, and HIV counseling and testing. Cindy enjoys spending time with her two sons, kayaking, hiking, and music.
